Shipping Boats

We were warned early on that the timing of long range shipping of large things, like 43 foot boats from Taiwan, is not exactly precise.

So we have calmly smiled as various dates have been conveyed.  Boat is shipping Jan 29th.  Hey it is shipping early on Jan 21st, lucky you!  Oh wait a sec, it really shipped Jan 31st.  Thus boat will be here on Feb 15.  Wait, make that the 21st.  Wait make that 23rd, or maybe 24th.  Well actually it is the 25th.  I will believe when I see it in the slip in Dana Point.

Anyway, the anticipation is building.  The boat really becomes a boat when it spashes down from the ship and has to start floating.  Let’s all hope from that moment, it forever keeps floating.

Oh, and the difference between a boat and a ship?  You can fit a boat on a ship, but not a ship on a boat. -Eric
