You say" tomato", and I say "tomahto". You say possibly "beef and lamb", I say "rat and cat". What is that in the lower right hand section of your pic, of the "Chef" doin the grilling across the street? Filth and dirt in the streets?
That's the high end? And you would go back there, to that sewerage tank?
What is the aroma one smells as you walk the streets there? Is the scent called "Landfill". Give me a break!

We happen to have some better Internet. Usually we are unable to post comments, but we can for the moment. So...

A pretty harsh post by Benson. While we have complained about some Egyptian's treatment of tourists, we found Egypt overall to be a pretty nice place. Suez was relatively clean and was better than some other places we have visited. It does not have open sewers, such as Indonesia, and it smelled fine. Suez seems to have a good trash service.

We were warned that people are mostly poor and eating out is not too common in Egypt. So high end resturants by their standards are not quite the same as American standards. Also looks are not everything. Some hole in the wall resturants have great food, so did this place. It was an appreciated recommendation from a local, and we enjoyed it more than other places we tried at random.
