On Saturday we were just on a passage, which was pretty boring. We arrived in Jamaica on Sunday. We checked in, then ate a a jerk chicken place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_1397.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The road entrance to the Errol Flynn Marina<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette semaine \u00e9tait amusante. Samedi on a fait que naviguer ce qui \u00e9tait tres ennuyant. Dimanche on est arriv\u00e9 en Jama\u00efque. En s\u2019est enregistr\u00e9 et on a mang\u00e9 \u00e0 un restaurant qui sert du poulet avec une sauce sp\u00e9ciale appel\u00e9e jerk.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_6922.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Jerk chicken, rice and beans and mixed veggies.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday we went out to breakfast with some other cruisers, then ate dinner at a place called Roots 21. A random guy named John walked over and offered to take us to the restaurant. The walk over was a bit scary, but the food was good. Another random guy named Ed came over and somehow convinced dad to buy him dinner.\u00a0On Tuesday mom had an important call, so dad and I went for a walk, and had pizza and ice cream.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_1829-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Cool building in Port Antonio<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lundi on a mang\u00e9 le petit dejeuner avec des autres matelots et mang\u00e9 le d\u00eener \u00e0 un restaurant qui s\u2019appele Roots 21. Une personne que nous ne connaissions pas et qui s\u2019appelait John a offert de nous guider jusqu\u2019au restaurant. Le promenade jusqu\u2019au restaurant \u00e9tait un peu effrayante, mais la nourriture \u00e9tait bonne. Une autre personne qui s\u2019appelait Ed a convaincu papa de lui payer le d\u00eener.\u00a0Mardi maman avait une interview importante, donc papa et moi avons fait une promenade et mang\u00e9 de la pizza et une glace.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/that-was-awesome-keith-blue-lagoon.mov\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Keith exclaiming &#8220;That was awesome&#8221; after his first jump into the lagoon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Wednesday Ed took us on a tour. We went to a place called Frenchman\u2019s cove, which is supposed to be a nice beach. However, it was 40 bucks to get in, so we decided to skip Frenchman\u2019s cove. We then went to a place called \u201dThe Blue Lagoon\u201d. It was cool, being a sort of half salt half fresh water lake. The water there was warm, but people jumping in caused cold water to mix with the warm water, which was weird. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_1563-keith-jumping-blue-lagoon.mov\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mercredi, Ed nous a fait faire une visite guid\u00e9e. Nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 une plage qui s\u2019appelle \u201cFrenchman\u2019s Cove\u201d, mais c\u2019\u00e9tait 40 dollars pour y acc\u00e9der, donc nous avons decid\u00e9 de ne pas y aller. Apr\u00e8s \u00e7a on est all\u00e9 \u00e0 un endroit qui s\u2019appelle \u201cThe Blue Lagoon\u201d. C\u2019\u00e9tait tr\u00e8s cool. C\u2019\u00e9tait une sorte de lac \u00e0 moiti\u00e9 eau sal\u00e9e et \u00e0 moiti\u00e9 eau douce. Il y avait de l\u2019eau chaude et de l\u2019eau froide, mais elles ne se m\u00e9langeaient pas, donc il y aver des poches d\u2019eau chaude et des poches d\u2019eau froide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_1569-keith-retrieving-ball.mov\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some guys were playing a ball game, and I had to fetch their ball sooooooo many times when it fell in the water. After that we stopped at a place called Di Hip Strip. The food was good, and dad bought dinner for Ed again.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_6957.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Keith liked his food, he was just too tired from the walk\/swim to show enthusiasm<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Des personnes jouaient \u00e0 un jeux de ballon, et j\u2019ai du attraper le ballon tr\u00e8s souvent quand il tombait dans l\u2019eau.\u00a0Apr\u00e8s le Blue Lagoon on a mang\u00e9 \u00e0 un restaurant qui s\u2019appelle Di Hip Strip. La nourriture \u00e9tait bonne et papa a pay\u00e9 le d\u00eener pour Ed.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_6965.mov\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday we went on a bamboo rafting trip. Some guys picked us up, and when we arrived mom shut the car door on one of the guy\u2019s finger! After making sure he was okay, we got on the raft. The trip was eight miles, and the guy just stood on the front with a big stick and pushed us along. The water was cold, so we didn\u2019t swim.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_1701.mov\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeudi nous sommes all\u00e9s sur un radeau fait en bamboo. Des personnes sont venues nous chercher, et quand nous sommes arriv\u00e9s, maman a ferm\u00e9 le porte de la voiture sur le doigt d\u2019une des personnes. Apr\u00e8s nous \u00eatre assur\u00e9s qu\u2019il allait bien nous sommes all\u00e9s sur le radeau. Le voyage faisait 8 miles, et le guide \u00e9tait juste sur le devant du radeau avec un grand b\u00e2ton et nous faisait naviguer. L\u2019eau \u00e9tait froide, donc nous n\u2019avons pas nag\u00e9.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_6979.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Keith rested for much of the ride down<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We stopped at this lady\u2019s little restaurant for lunch, and I got some good curried goat. Mom and dad didn\u2019t eat much. After that we went down the rest of the river and went home. We saw John, and he said that we should go to a place called \u201cPiglet\u2019s\u201d for dinner. Believe it or not, they only serve jerk chicken there.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_6975.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Keith liked his food and gobbled it up, though he was a bit apprehensive to try it. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous nous sommes arr\u00eat\u00e9s au restaurant d\u2019une personne, et j\u2019ai mang\u00e9 un bon curry de ch\u00e8vre. Maman et papa n\u2019ont pas beaucoup mang\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s \u00e7a on a travers\u00e9 le reste de la rivi\u00e8re et nous sommes retourn\u00e9s au bateau. On a vu John, qui nous a dit que nous devrions aller \u00e0 un restaurant qui s\u2019appelle Piglet\u2019s. Tu me croiras ou pas, \u00e0 Piglet\u2019s tu peux seulement manger du Poulet jerk.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_1656-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">We saw quite a few animals on the ride down, including goats<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday mom had an interview, so dad and I went out to eat for breakfast. Three guys approached us. One was a guy named Patrick who sold jewelry, and he was friends with some of my D&amp;D buddies parent\u2019s. We didn\u2019t know the other guy, and dad told him to run along pretty quick. The last guy was John, who dad gave some money to for showing us Piglet\u2019s. But then Patrick saw us giving money to John, so he ran over and pretty much begged dad for money.\u00a0After mom finished her interview, we went to the grocery store and bought stuff for the passages to the Bahamas. For dinner we ate at the marina restaurant with some friends. The food was good, but a bit fatty, and the wait was super long.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_1862-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Vendredi maman avait une interview, donc papa et moi avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de manger le petit dejeuner dehors. Trois personnes nous ont approch\u00e9s. La premi\u00e8re personne s\u2019appelait Patrick, et il a vendu des bijoux aux parents d\u2019un de mes amis de donjons et dragons. On ne connaissait pas la deuxi\u00e8me personne, et papa lui a dit de partir. La derni\u00e8re personne \u00e9tait John, et papa lui a donn\u00e9 lui de l\u2019argent pour nous avoir montr\u00e9 Piglet\u2019s. Mais Patrick nous a vu donner de l\u2019argent \u00e0 John, donc il a approch\u00e9 papa et il l\u2019a suppli\u00e9 pour de l\u2019argent.\u00a0Quand maman a eu fini son interview, on a fait les courses et achet\u00e9 des choses pour le trajet aux Bahamas. Pour le d\u00eener, on a mang\u00e9 au restaurant de la marina avec des amis. La nourriture \u00e9tait bonne mais un peu grasse et l\u2019attente \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s longue.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week has been fun.
