continued from yesterday.<\/a>.. Kosmos hadn’t drifted at all, so we decided it was safe to leave her. We got ourselves cleaned up and headed to the nearby resort, called the French Leave, for an early dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We picked it because of they had a dinghy dock (pictured above). We\u2019d been warned that the beach landings here were problematic. This dock wasn’t exactly easy, either. The ladder wasn’t at the dock, which meant we had to unload at the ladder and manually pull Kosmopolitan over to the dock. There were several obstacles, making it a bit challenging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Eric managed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restaurant was the building to the left. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We could see Kosmos from where we were seated, so we could make sure she wasn’t dragging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dinner was good. They had pizza, which was surprising. We’ve been to several places in the Bahamas where pizza was on the menu, but either the restaurant was closed<\/a> or they didn’t have pizza available<\/a> that day. It was a bit pricey — the high end of what we’d paid in George Town, but the portions were big. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After dinner, we attempted to walk into town. While it was a relatively short walk, there were no sidewalks, the cars were driving fast, and the road had a lot of blind spots where pedestrians could be in danger. We decided it was too dangerous to walk. We’d noticed that each cabin had a golf cart in front of it, and the carts had big labels identifying which cabin it belonged to. We wondered if the resort included golf carts into the cabin rentals to prevent pedestrian accidents on the road. Instead, we walked over to the marina to check it out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The marina was a single dock with several electrical hookups along the perimeter of the dock. It was ridiculously expensive, so it was no surprise that no one was there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, we headed back to Kosmos for the night. Since we were leaving early in the morning, we brought the dinghy up and got the boat ready for sea before we went to be. This was the sunset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
