continued…<\/a> This was far and away the most expensive marina we’d ever been to at $270 per night. However, it was actually a bargain because the slip included four tickets to the waterpark, and park tickets were $200 per day for non-Bahamians 13 and older. One of the perks of this marina was golf cart service, which we’ve never had before. Once we were ready to go, we called for a golf cart on the radio, and a few minutes later one arrived at the boat to pick us up. Here were Eric and Keith getting off the boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

on the golf cart drive, we noticed some large, dark jellyfish in the water. The driver told us there were a lot of jellyfish here. He dropped us off at the edge of the enormous big pinkish building. We noticed some large, dark jellyfish in the water, and the driver told us where there was a ticket counter. The driver said we could skip the ticket counter and walk through the hotel to the waterpark; that we only need to show our marina keys to get into the park. Once inside, we could get wristbands from the customer service kiosks where they hand out towels. The wristbands would get us onto the rides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We entered into what we thought was the hotel lobby. Nope. It was a small, high end shopping mall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We walked through the mall into a relatively large casino. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The casino kind of reminded us of the Belaggio casino in Las Vegas because it had several large blown glass sculptures, statues, and frescoes on various sections of the walls\/ceilings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After walking through the casino, we passed through a security check, where we showed our marina keys in order to get into the hotel lobby. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is a close up of one of the frescoes along the edge of the ceiling. Most of the frescoes had mythological creatures in them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christi popped out of the lobby doors to get a sense of where exactly we were in the complex and what it looked like on the outside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fountain in the middle of the roundabout where the cars pulled up, which was off to the side of the hotel’s doors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back inside…. The hotel lobby overlooked a lower level, where there were Barbie-themed activities for kids. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the lobby was a long corridor that turned out to be another shopping center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The corridor led to an outdoor walkway, which took us through a beautifully landscaped area. Part of the landscape was a turtle pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
