On Saturday, we went back to the Washing Machine again, this time with the Ukrainian family and the family from Mississippi. After we got back, I went over to one of the boats to watch a movie. It was a Christmas movie, which was a little bit cheesy and out of season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_7540-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The narrow opening from the ocean into the estuary is called the Washing Machine, Shroud Cay, Exuma Islands, Bahamas<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette semaine \u00e9tait int\u00e9ressante. Samedi on est retourn\u00e9 au washing Machine avec la famille Ukrainienne et celle du Mississippi. Quand je suis rentr\u00e9, je suis all\u00e9 sur un autre bateau pour regarder un film. C\u2019\u00e9tait un film de No\u00ebl, qui \u00e9tait ringard et hors saison.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Eric-and-Keith-playing-at-the-washing-machine.mov\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The Washing Machine is a deeper channel with a fast current, and a sandbar at each side so you can&#8217;t get swept away. Eric and Keith playing in the water.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday, we moved to an anchorage called Highbourne Cay. There was a small resort there with a grocery store and a restaurant, so we got groceries. Mom and I walked around while dad brought the groceries back to the boat. Once dad got back, we ate at the restaurant, which was really good. They gave mom a free glass of wine for Mother\u2019s Day.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_7560-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">In Shroud Cay, Exuma Islands, Bahamas<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dimanche on s\u2019est d\u00e9plac\u00e9 \u00e0 un ancrage qui s\u2019appelle Highbourne Cay. Il y avait un petit resort avec une surperette et un restaurant, donc on a fait les courses. Maman et moi on s\u2019est promen\u00e9 pendant que papa a ramen\u00e9 les courses au bateau. Quand papa est revenu on a mang\u00e9 au restaurant, qui \u00e9tait trop bon. Ils ont donn\u00e9 \u00e0 maman un verre de vin gratuit pour la f\u00eate des m\u00e8res.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_7657.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Highbourne Cay, Exumas, Bahamas<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday, we moved around the corner of the island to a calmer anchorage. It was really rolly and humid, so we didn\u2019t do much.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_7643.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Keith and Christi in Highbourne Cay, Exumas, Bahamas<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lundi nous nous sommes d\u00e9plac\u00e9s autour de l\u2019ile \u00e0 un ancrage plus calme. Il y avait beaucoup de roulis et c\u2019\u00e9tait humide, donc on n\u2019a pas fait grand chose.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_7704.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Highbourne Cay, Exumas, Bahamas<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday we left for Florida. Dad had the air conditioning on the entire time, which was awesome. Wednesday we were at sea, and we arrived in Florida early Thursday morning. I mostly played video games and listened to audio books while at sea.\u00a0After we got settled in the anchorage, we went to shore. We ate at a small French cafe, which had really good food. After breakfast, we went back to the boat and rested. Dad\u2019s cousin invited us over to his place for dinner, which was yummy.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_7978.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The anchorage in West Palm Beach, Florida<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mardi on est parti pour la Floride. Papa a allum\u00e9utilizer la climatisation tout le temps, ce qui \u00e9tait chouette. Mercredi on a navigu\u00e9 toute la journ\u00e9e, et nous sommes arriv\u00e9s en Floride t\u00f4t jeudi matin. J\u2019ai jou\u00e9 \u00e0 des jeux videos et \u00e9cout\u00e9 des livres audios la plupart du temps.\u00a0Apr\u00e8s qu\u2019on se soit install\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019ancrage, on est all\u00e9 \u00e0 terre. Nous avons mang\u00e9 \u00e0 un petit caf\u00e9 fran\u00e7ais, qui \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s bon. Apr\u00e8s le petit d\u00e9jeuner on est rest\u00e9 sur le bateau. Le cousin de papa nous a invit\u00e9 pour le d\u00eener, qui \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s bon.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_7982-1-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday we did our normal routine, then went to shore for lunch. We ate at a hipster Mexican restaurant. Mom couldn\u2019t eat anything other than salads, but dad and I got a lot. The burritos were good, but they used white rice instead of Mexican rice, and the ingredients in the burritos weren\u2019t distributed properly.\u00a0After lunch, we went back to the French cafe for dessert, then went back to the boat for the rest of the day.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/IMG_7990-2-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">I ate two breakfasts on Thursday!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Vendredi on a fait notre routine habituelle puis nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 terre pour le dejeuner. Nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 un restaurant Mexican hipster. Maman ne pouvait rien manger sauf les salades, mais papa et moi avons beaucoup mang\u00e9. Le burrito \u00e9tait bon, mais ils ont utilis\u00e9 le riz normal, au lieu du riz mexicain, et les ingr\u00e9dients n\u2019\u00e9taient pas r\u00e9partis correctement.\u00a0Apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9jeuner on est retourn\u00e9 au cafe fran\u00e7ais pour le dessert, ensuite on est retourne au bateau pour la reste du journey.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week has been interesting.
