On Saturday, we moved the boat to a different slip first thing in the morning, then mom\u2019s friend picked us up and showed us around the area. Then we went back to their house and I talked to mom\u2019s friend\u2019s daughter about a video game. We borrowed their car, then went to a burrito place for dinner. Unfortunately, mom couldn\u2019t eat anything.\u00a0On Sunday, dad and I did some boat chores, then we went to a mini Comicon, which was fun, though it wasn\u2019t as good as the real thing. After that, we went to the house of some of our friends from the Bahamas (Miss Roxy) and had dinner.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samedi nous avons d\u00e9plac\u00e9 le bateau \u00e0 un nouvel emplacement, puis l\u2019ami de maman nous a montr\u00e9 la zone autour de nous. Apr\u00e8s \u00e7a est retourn\u00e9 \u00e0 leur maison et j\u2019ai parl\u00e9 \u00e0 la fille de l\u2019ami de maman d\u2019un jeux vid\u00e9o. On a emprunt\u00e9 leur voiture, puis mang\u00e9 \u00e0 un restaurant de burrito. Maman ne pouvait rien manger.\u00a0Dimanche papa et moi avons fait des r\u00e9parations sur le bateau, puis nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 une petite comicon, qui \u00e9tait amusante mais pas autant que l\u2019original. Apr\u00e8s la petite comicon, nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 la maison de nos amis des Bahamas (Miss Roxy) pour le d\u00eener.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Monday, we met another one of mom\u2019s friends at a Thai restaurant in Portsmouth, then had cheesecake for dessert. We also went to the local visitor center, then we met up with some cruisers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lundi on a vu un autre ami de maman \u00e0 un restaurant Tha\u00eflandais \u00e0 Portsmouth, puis on a mang\u00e9 du cheesecake pour le dessert. On a aussi vu l\u2019office du tourisme, puis on s\u2019est retrouv\u00e9 avec d\u2019autres matelots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday, dad did some boat chores, then we had lunch at a Mexican restaurant, which had decent enough food. Then we went to Costco to get my eyes examined. My prescription didn\u2019t change, but we\u2019re still getting new glasses because my old ones were broken. After the eye exam, we shopped at Costco.\u00a0On Wednesday, we went to Miss Roxy\u2019s house to play D&D, which was really fun. It was raining super hard, so it was kind of an ordeal getting the backpack with all the stuff back to the boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mardi papa et moi avons fait des r\u00e9paration sur le bateau, puis on a d\u00e9jeun\u00e9 \u00e0 un restaurant Mexican, qui avait de la bonne nourriture. Apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9jeuner nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 Costco pour tester ma vision. Ma prescription n\u2019a pas chang\u00e9, mais on a quand m\u00eame achet\u00e9 des nouvelle lunettes parce que les anciennes \u00e9taient cass\u00e9es. Apr\u00e8s l\u2019examen de mes yeux, on a fait les courses.\u00a0Mercredi, nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 la Maison de Miss Roxy pour jouer \u00e0 donjons et dragons, ce qui \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s amusant. Il a plu tr\u00e8s fort, donc c\u2019\u00e9tait tr\u00e8s dificile de rapporter le sac a dos avec toutes les choses jusqu\u2019au bateau.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fort Monroe<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, we had lunch at a Waffle House. The food was okay. After breakfast we went to a grocery store.\u00a0On Friday we drove out to a place called Fort Monroe. It was pretty cool and we took a partial tour. I learned that, during the Civil War, Fort Monroe was a haven for black people who wanted to be free. After the tour we explored a 4th of July event at the fort, then we left. We saw the fireworks from the boat. They were cool looking, but some of them were blocked by tress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
