On Saturday, we went to lunch at a Japanese restaurant, then went to the beach with Blue Heeler. The temperature was amazing, it felt like San Diego. For dinner, we went to a restaurant called Longboard\u2019s, which is just across the river.&nbsp;On Sunday, we went to First Landing National Park with Blue Heeler and went for a three mile walk. We saw some big spider webs and a snake.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_3066-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette semaine \u00e9tait amusante. Samedi nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 un restraurant japonais, puis all\u00e9s \u00e0 la plage avec Blue Heeler. Le temp\u00e9rature \u00e9tait trop bonne, \u00e7a ressemblait \u00e0 San Diego. Pour le d\u00eener nous avons mang\u00e9 \u00e0 un restaurant qui s\u2019appelle Longboard\u2019s, qui \u00e9tait de l\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la rivi\u00e8re.&nbsp;Dimanche nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 First Landing National Park avec Blue Heeler et all\u00e9s faire une promenade de 3 miles. On a vu des grandes toiles d\u2019araign\u00e9es et un serpent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_3091-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Longboard&#8217;s<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday, I did my first day of D&amp;D camp. We mostly made characters, though we got a single encounter with some plant monsters. I was a Goliath Paladin that focused on defense. We also had an Elvish Ranger, a Human Sorcerer, a Dragonborn Sorceress, a Human Druid, and\u2026 Whimso The Clown, who was a warlock. In the evening we went over to Blue Heeler for a game night.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_3134-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">First Landing National Park<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lundi c\u2019\u00e9tait mon premier jour de camp de D&amp;D. On a principalement fait des personages, et on a aussi combattu des monstres fait de plantes. J\u2019\u00e9tais un Paladin Goliath qui se concentrait sur le defense. On avait aussi un Ranger Elf, un Sorcier Humain, une Sorci\u00e8re Dragonborn, un Druide humain et\u2026 Whimso Le Clown qui \u00e9tait un Warlock. Dans la soir\u00e9e on a \u00e9t\u00e9 sur Blue Heeler pour une soir\u00e9e de jeux.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_3145.mov\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">First Landing National Park<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday, I did my second day of D&amp;D camp. We talked to some NPCs and fought an owl bear. We then looted it for all it\u2019s worth. After the owl bear we explored the forest, found a unicorn glade, fought a displacer beast and took it fur, and eventually found a cave with a giant spider in it. After D&amp;D camp, we went to Fort Norfolk with Bigger Boat, then went to Lola\u2019s for dinner.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_3266-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mardi c\u2019\u00e9tait mon deuxi\u00e8me jour de camp de D&amp;D. On a parl\u00e9 \u00e0 des NPCs, puis combattu une chouette -ours puis on lui a vol\u00e9 tous ses biens. Apr\u00e8s le combat on a trouv\u00e9 une clairi\u00e8re avec une licorne, combattu une b\u00eate \u00e9clipsante et pris sa fourrure, puis on a trouv\u00e9 un me grotte avec une araign\u00e9e g\u00e9ante dedans. Apr\u00e8s le camp nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 Fort Norfolk avec Bigger Boat, puis on a mang\u00e9 \u00e0 Lola pour le d\u00eener.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_3305-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Outside the entrance to Fort Norfolk on Tuesday<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Wednesday, I did my third day of D&amp;D camp. We got some interesting things from the spider cave, which were: A potion of heroism (gives 10 temporary health and the effects of the bless spell), a potion of fire breathing (gives me the effects of the dragon\u2019s breath spell, though only fire, not the other elements), a magic key to who know\u2019s where, and some dust of disappearing (which gives some people invisibility for two 4-sided dice turns). We also got a potion of invisibility, but Whismo drank that right off the bat because he thought it would be funny. After the loot, we returned to the unicorn glade and regrouped. We then explored the forest, but the trees kept shifting and making us get lost. Eventually, I got the bright idea to use my great axe to just cut down the trees. I had to make an athletics check, and then everybody had to make a constitution check to see if they got exhausted, then the ranger made a survival check not to get lost. By the end of it, we all had 1-2 levels of exhaustion (6 kills you) and made our way to the unicorn glade again. The second day we tried that again, but got lost and found the town we came from. We got some axes, machetes and sickles, rested, then went back out there. This time we actually found something, a small glade in the middle of the forest. It was something at least. But then we heard a hunting horn, which we deduced was the call of the Wild Hunt. The Wild Hunt is a group of hunters from Feywild (another dimension) that wishes to hunt everything in a forest. They found us, but gave us a 10-minute head start to run away. Most of us ran away from them, but our sorcerer decided to run towards them. He made it through their ranks and into the forest. He got badly exhausted and lost, but figured out how to use the magic key to teleport to the rest of us. The rest of us were running like crazy. We all got really exhausted, but then the ranger heard something: faint orchestral music. He decided to ignore it. We continued running, but then the others heard the music. The forest parted in the direction of the music, so the sorcerer and Whimso went that way. The rest of us didn\u2019t want to go that way, so we continued on the path we were already on. We eventually found absolutely nothing, so I went to the source of the music. Everybody else did too, after a few more failed checks. We found the source of the music to be a carnival. Little did we know it was Whimso\u2019s uncle\u2019s carnival, so they took us in. This was no ordinary carnival, for in fact, this was a magic fairy carnival. We rested for a few hours, then I drank 32 cups of coffee and our sorcerer ate raw coffee beans. I fell asleep fine. The second day of rest they gave me and the ranger (the two most exhausted people) a potion to cure the exhaustion. Now this is where we broke the game. First of all, I had been begging for full plate armor, so the DM made me fight this walking suit of armor for a set of full plate armor. I won easily. Then I went to this fairy that could enchant\/make a magic item in exchange for something, such as a memory or the ability to see the color blue. But I had the furs of the displacer beast, so I had her make me a Cloak of Displacement in exchange for the memory of the day when I became a paladin. A Cloak Of Displacement is a serious magic item. It makes me very hard to hit (the reasons are too hard to explain here). The others just got slightly magical items. After the camp we went to Trader Joe\u2019s to get passage food.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_3314-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Dinner at Lola&#8217;s on Tuesday<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mercredi j\u2019ai fait mon troisi\u00e8me jour de camp de D&amp;D. On a trouv\u00e9 des choses dans la grotte de l\u2019araign\u00e9e qui \u00e9taient: une potion d\u2019h\u00e9ro\u00efsme, une potion de cracheur de feu, un cl\u00e9 magique dont personne de conna\u00eet l\u2019utilit\u00e9, et de la poussi\u00e8re d\u2019invisibilit\u00e9. On a aussi trouv\u00e9 une potion d\u2019invisibilit\u00e9, mais Whimso a bu toute la potion parce qu\u2019il trouvait que c\u2019\u00e9tait rigolo. Apr\u00e8s le butin nous sommes retourn\u00e9s \u00e0 la clairi\u00e8re de la licorne et nous nous sommes regroup\u00e9s. Apr\u00e8s \u00e7a nous sommes all\u00e9s explorer la for\u00eat, mais les arbres bougeaient de place et nous faisaient nous perdre. Apr\u00e8s beaucoup de temps j\u2019ai eu la bonne id\u00e9e d\u2019utiliser ma grande hache pour couper les arbres. A la fin on avait tous 1-2 niveau d\u2019\u00e9puisement et nous sommes retourn\u00e9s \u00e0 la clairi\u00e8re de la licorne. Le deuxi\u00e8me jour on a r\u00e9essay\u00e9, mais on s\u2019est perdu et on a trouv\u00e9 le village d\u2019o\u00f9 on venait. Nous avons achet\u00e9 des aches, des machetes et des faucilles, on s\u2019est repos\u00e9 et on a essay\u00e9 encore une fois. Cette fois on a trouv\u00e9 quelque chose, une petite clairi\u00e8re au milieu de la for\u00eat. Au moins c\u2019\u00e9tait quelque chose. Mais apr\u00e8s \u00e7a, on a entendu une corne antique et on a&nbsp; d\u00e9duis que c\u2019\u00e9tait l\u2019appelle de la Wild Hunt. La Wild Hunt c\u2019est un groupe de chasseurs d\u2019une autre dimension qui s\u2019appelle Feywild qui veut chasser toutes les choses de la for\u00eat. Ils nous ont trouv\u00e9, et nous ont dit qu\u2019ils nous donnaient 10 minutes d\u2019avance. Beaucoup de nous ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de s\u2019enfuir, mais le sorcier voulait courir vers la Wild Hunt. Il a travers\u00e9 leur rang et a \u00e9t\u00e9 dans la for\u00eat. Il \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s fatigu\u00e9, mais il a utilis\u00e9 la cl\u00e9 magique pour se t\u00e9l\u00e9porter jusqu\u2019\u00e0 nous. Le reste de nous courait tr\u00e8s vite. On \u00e9tait tous tr\u00e8s fatigu\u00e9, mais le ranger a entendu quelque chose: une faible musique d\u2019orchestre. Il a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de l\u2019ignorer. Nous avons continu\u00e9 \u00e0 courir, mais les autres ont entendu la musique. Le for\u00eat se s\u00e9parait dans cette direction, donc le sorcier et whimso ont couru dans cette direction. Le reste d\u2019entre nous ne voulait pas aller sur ce chemin, donc on a continu\u00e9. Nous n\u2019avons rien trouv\u00e9, donc je suis all\u00e9 en direction de la musique. Tous les autres m\u2019ont suivi. L\u2019origine de la musique \u00e9tait une f\u00eate foraine. C\u2019\u00e9tait la f\u00eate foraine de l\u2019oncle de Whimso. Cette f\u00eate foraine \u00e9tait une f\u00eate foraine de f\u00e9e! On est rest\u00e9 pendant un moment, puis j\u2019ai bu 32 tasses de caf\u00e9 et le sorcier a mang\u00e9 des grains de caf\u00e9. Le deuxi\u00e8me jour de repos ils nous ont donn\u00e9, \u00e0 moi et au ranger, des potions pour soigner l\u2019\u00e9puisement. C\u2019est le moment o\u00f9 j\u2019ai d\u00e9jou\u00e9 le jeu. Le DM m\u2019a donn\u00e9 une armure int\u00e9grale. Il y avait une f\u00e9e qui pouvait fabriquer quelque chose de magique ou enchanter un objet. Mais j\u2018avais les fourrures de la B\u00eate \u00e9clipsante, donc elle m\u2019a fabriqu\u00e9 une cape d\u2019\u00e9clipsement. Apr\u00e8s le camp nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 Trader Joe\u2019s pour acheter la nourriture pour le passage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_3336-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Dinner at Y Not in Virginia Beach before the Thoroughgood House Mystery. Keith got red velvet cake for dessert. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday, I did my fourth day of D&amp;D camp. We left the carnival. Whimso and the sorcerer went to find the Wild Hunt and kill the hunters, but ended up getting captured and being forced to participate in the hunt. By the time the hunt found the rest of us, we had so many exhaustion levels that we could barely even move. The Hunt said that they would let us go if we killed this evil mutated creature. The creature turned out to be a giant turkey. After camp, we went to the Thourghgood House for a little murder mystery show. It was just an extremely boring history lesson on the revolutionary war. The only funny part was the person pretending to be Marquis De Lafayette, a French general, who had the worst French accent imaginable. We went with Miss Roxy and Blue Heeler.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_3439-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeudi on a fait le quatri\u00e8me jour du camp de D&amp;D. Nous sommes partis de la f\u00eate foraine. Whimso et le sorciers sont partis pour trouver la Wild Hunt et tuer les chasseurs mais ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 captur\u00e9 et forc\u00e9 \u00e0 participer \u00e0 la chasse. Lorsque la Wild Hunt a trouv\u00e9 le reste de notre groupe, on avait tellement de niveaux d\u2019\u00e9puisement qu\u2019on ne pouvait presque pas marcher. La chasse nous a dit qui si on tuait un monstre on pouvait s\u2019\u00e9chapper. Le monstre \u00e9tait en fait une g\u00e9ante dinde. Apr\u00e8s le camp nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 la maison du Thourghgood pour un petit meurtre myst\u00e9rieux. C\u2019\u00e9tait juste une le\u00e7on tr\u00e8s ennuyante de la r\u00e9volution. La seule partie amusante c\u2019\u00e9tait la personne qui \u00e9tait le Marquis De Lafayette, un g\u00e9n\u00e9ral fran\u00e7ais, qui avait l\u2019accent fran\u00e7ais le plus horrible du monde. Nous y sommes all\u00e9s avec Miss Roxy et Blue Heeler.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_3458-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday, we walked to a local coffee shop, and I got a chai latte. After that was the last day of D&amp;D Camp. The entire session was fighting the final boss. It was an evil dryad. We killed her pretty quickly, but then she fused with the heart of the forest and that took forever to kill. We killed her 5-minutes before camp ended. One more attack then she would\u2019ve killed me, but I attacked and dealt 21 damage, killing her. I later found out that she had 21 health left, which means I barely killed her. Once camp was done, we went back to the boat. Blue Heeler came over for a visit. After they left, we went to the mall for an early dinner and watched the new Superman movie with mom\u2019s friends. It was good enough.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_3486-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">for dessert, Keith got a scoop of ice cream wrapped in a bubble waffle<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Vendredi nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 un caf\u00e9 et j\u2019ai achet\u00e9 un Chai Latte. Apr\u00e8s \u00e7a j\u2019ai fait mon dernier jour de camp de D&amp;D. Toute le session c\u2019\u00e9tait de combattre le boss final. C\u2019\u00e9tait une dryade m\u00e9chante. On l\u2019a tu\u00e9e plut\u00f4t vite, mais elle a fusionn\u00e9 avec le coeur de la for\u00eat et \u00e7a a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s long de la tuer. On l\u2019a tu\u00e9e 5 minutes avant la fin du camp. Une autre attaque et elle m\u2019aurait tu\u00e9, mais j\u2019ai fait 21 d\u00e9g\u00e2ts ce qui l\u2019a tu\u00e9e. Apr\u00e8s le combat J\u2019ai d\u00e9couvert qu\u2019elle n\u2019avait que 21 points de vie qui lui restait. Apr\u00e8s le camp nous sommes retourn\u00e9s au bateau. Blue Heeler nous a rendu visite. Apr\u00e8s qu\u2019ils soient partis nous sommes all\u00e9s au mall pour manger le d\u00eener tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t et voir le nouveau film de Superman avec un ami de maman.
