Maybe\u2026 interesting would be the right word, I guess? On Saturday, we arrived in Washington DC. All we did was rest for the whole day except for going out to dinner. We went to a really good Mexican fusion restaurant, then we had these things called \u201cChimney Cakes\u201d for dessert.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_7799.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette semaine \u00e9tait\u2026 douloureuse mais c\u2019est pas le bon mot. Peut \u00eatre\u2026 int\u00e9ressante c\u2019est le bon mot. Samedi nous sommes arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 Washington DC. On s\u2019est repos\u00e9 pour toute la journ\u00e9e sauf quand on est sorti pour manger le d\u00eener. Nous avons mang\u00e9 \u00e0 un restaurant de fusion Mexican, puis nous avons mang\u00e9 des choses qui s\u2019appellent des \u201cChimney Cakes\u201d pour le dessert.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_8006.mov\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday, we went to the Spy Museum. It was really cool. I learned that there is a way to shrink a large amount of words into a tiny dot, and it can be read with a microscope. After the spy museum, we walked a little bit of the national mall with our friends from Blue Heeler.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_8209.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">photo bomb!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_8944.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dimanche nous sommes all\u00e9s au mus\u00e9e de l\u2019espionnage. C\u2019\u00e9tait tr\u00e8s cool. J\u2019ai appris qui il y a un moyen pour r\u00e9duire beaucoup de mots dans un petit point et tu peux le lire avec un microscope. Apr\u00e8s le mus\u00e9e de l\u2019espionnage nous avons march\u00e9 au National Mall avec Blue Heeler.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_8368.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_8380.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday, we went to the Air and Space museum. I was kind of bored, but Dad liked it. I learned that there was a small communications glitch when Neil Armstrong first walked on the moon, so a lot of people got the wording of his famous quote wrong.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_8920.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_8885.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lundi nous sommes all\u00e9s au mus\u00e9e de l\u2019a\u00e9ronautique. Je me suis ennuy\u00e9, mais papa a bien aim\u00e9. J\u2019ai appris qu\u2019il y avait un probl\u00e8me de communication quand Neil Armstrong a march\u00e9 sur le lune, donc beaucoup de personnes n\u2019ont pas compris les bons mots de sa citation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_8843.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_8757.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">photo bomb!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday, we went to the Library Of Congress. I have one thing to say about it: BORING!!! I learned that Thomas Jefferson donated the first books to the library. We also played D&amp;D with Blue Heeler.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_9149.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_9151.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mardi, nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 la biblioth\u00e8que du Congr\u00e8s. J\u2019ai une chose \u00e0 dire: ennuyant! J\u2019ai appris que c\u2019est Thomas Jefferson qui a donn\u00e9 les premiers livres \u00e0 la biblioth\u00e8que. Nous avons aussi jou\u00e9 \u00e0 D&amp;D avec Blue Heeler.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_9181.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_9232.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Wednesday, we went to the Postal Museum, which I liked a lot. I learned that airmail pilots have some of the most dangerous jobs in America. Back in the day, they had to fly in old airplanes through any sort of weather, including storms, and blizzards! So many people died in the job that they actually started calling it \u201cThe Suicide Club.\u201d After that we went to lunch at Union Station, then played D&amp;D with Blue Heeler.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_9827.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mercredi nous sommes all\u00e9s au mus\u00e9e de la poste. J\u2019ai beaucoup aim\u00e9. J\u2019ai appris que les pilotes des avions de la poste avaient un des plus dangereux m\u00e9tiers en Am\u00e9rique. \u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9poque, ils devaient piloter des anciens avions dans tous type de m\u00e9t\u00e9o comme des temp\u00eates. Tellement de personnes ne survivaient pas qu\u2019ils ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 appeler le metier \u201cLe Club du Suicide\u201d. Apr\u00e8s \u00e7a nous avons mang\u00e9 \u00e0 Union Stationi, puis nous avons jou\u00e9 \u00e0 D&amp;D avec Blue Heeler.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_9840.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_9023.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Thursday, we did the tour of Congress. The tour itself was very boring, but the tour guide was awesome and hilarious. I learned that the congressmen used to get into major fist fights during session. That\u2019s one of the reasons why they put them in separate offices.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_0193.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_9842.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_9911.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_9949.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeudi nous avons fait le tour du Congr\u00e8s. Le tour \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s ennuyant, mais le guide \u00e9tait g\u00e9nial et trop rigolo. J\u2019ai appris que les membres du congr\u00e8s avaient l\u2019habitude de se battre \u00e0 coup de poings pendant les sessions. C\u2019est une des raisons pour laquelle ils sont dans des bureaux diff\u00e9rents.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_0221.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">We walked around The Wharf in the evening. Keith liked the swing near Kosmos!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_0234.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">We walked around The Wharf in the evening.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday, we went to Trawlerfest in Baltimore. Dad rented a car, and we drove there on our own. When we arrived, Dad went to the show while mom and I got breakfast at the Original Pancake House. It was totally different than the one in San Diego! After breakfast we went to one of the conference rooms. All three of us talked on an expert panel (well, I just sat there for two hours. I said 15 words at most during the entire panel, and that\u2019s highballing it). After that, we drove back to the boat.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_0287.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Vendredi, nous sommes all\u00e9s au Trawlerfest \u00e0 Baltimore. Papa a lou\u00e9 une voiture, puis nous avons conduit l\u00e0 bas tout seul. Quand nous sommes arriv\u00e9s papa est all\u00e9 au spectacle pendant que maman et moi, on a mang\u00e9 le petit d\u00e9jeuner \u00e0 la maison de pancakes originale. C\u2019\u00e9tait tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rent de celle de San Diego! Apr\u00e8s le petit dejeuner nous sommes all\u00e9s dans une des salles de conference. Nous avons tous les trois repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 le groupe des experts (ba je suis juste rest\u00e9 assis pendant deux heures. J\u2019ai parl\u00e9 15 mots au maximum dans le panel entier). Apr\u00e8s \u00e7a nous sommes revenus au bateau.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bonus: Normally, we <a href=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/2025\/10\/29\/the-spy-museum-in-washington-dc\/\">don&#8217;t duplicate photos<\/a> in posts, but Keith was adamant that he wanted this photo of Christi as a man included<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/IMG_7957.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week has been\u2026 well, painful is the wrong word.
