On Friday, October 24, 2025, Christi went for a walk to the river side of the condo complex<\/a> to watch the sunrise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it was too cold to stand idly, so she wound up skipping the sunrise in favor of going back to the warm boat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday morning, Eric polished the second tank of fuel <\/a>and rinsed down boat while Keith and Christi did school. At noon, Eric picked up the rental car.<\/a> Our paravane fish<\/a> were rusting and he wanted to get them sanded and repainted. He loaded fish in car and took them to the nearby boat yard<\/a> for an estimate. The person who would be doing the job wasn’t in and told him to come back later. Next, he went to West Marine<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For lunch, we wanted to go to a highly rated restaurant called Grumpy’s, which served Thai food and donuts. We entered the name into Maps, and the cafe popped up as being in the same shopping center as West Marine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a cheerful restaurant with colorful, fun decorations that served breakfast, burgers and sandwiches. It wasn’t until after we’d ordered that we registered that we were supposed to be at a Thai restaurant. That’s when we figured out we were at Grump’s, not Grumpy’s. Eric and Keith liked their food, but Christi didn’t like hers. It was also a bit on the expensive side for what it was.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We needed to do more grocery shopping. When we did a Maps search, we saw a store called the Pennsylvania Dutch Market that intrigued us. It looked like it was a tiny version of the Reading Terminal Market that Eric and Christi had visited years ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reading Terminal Market had stalls that individual vendors rented, and the vendors sold a wide variety of items. This market was more like a typical grocery store, except we got the sense that each department was run by a private vendor. So there was one (maybe two) produce vendors, a deli vendor (maybe even 2 or 3), a candy vendor, a bakery vendor (maybe 2 or 3. One was baking in-house — we watched them make donuts!), etc. Many of the employees were wearing traditional Dutch clothing that probably dated back before the turn of the 20th century. It was a neat store. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After we got back to the boat, Christi and Keith had dinner onboard, and Eric went to the marina restaurant for dinner.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This morning, Eric adjusted the water heater. Now that it was so cold, the water wasn’t getting hot enough for comfortable showers, so he turned the temperature up. Eric checked the day tank for water or gunk in the fuel from the polishing, and he was pleased to see that there wasn’t any. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon, the Tiki<\/a> kids came over for a D & D session. When their parents came to pick them up, they stayed and visited for a little while. After dinner, Eric and Keith went for a \u00be mile walk to get some exercise.Then Eric went out for ice cream.
