To be honest there is nothing too exciting to report. We have been very busy with work, and then busy spending time aboard Kosmos. We are in a training and orientation phase. We get a little more organized and a little more confident each time we are on the boat. We follow various checklists and procedures to ensure safe and smooth operation. Overall the boat is feeling less complex, and we are extremely pleased with <!--more-->the comfort and performance.<\/p>\n<p>A big shift from our last boat is how amazingly relaxed and pleasant travel from point A to B really is. Kosmos is quiet, smooth, and cozy. Our other boat was loud, bumpy, and windy. While we go slowly, this also means we have plenty of time to look around and avoid dangers. It is truly our dreamboat out on the ocean. The bad news is the experience underway is decidedly un-exhilarating and&nbsp;it is very easy to take&nbsp;take a nap. We honestly are concerned about falling asleep during watch shifts.<\/p>\n<p>Kosmos has a zillion places to store things, so we need to be careful we do not misplace stuff. Also considerable thought has to go into what fits where, and if it is the logical location for the item. We can see that as we load more and more stuff, it is going to be more of puzzle to fit everything.<\/p>\n<p>We have met some very nice people around the marina. Boaters are generally a friendly and helpful bunch. It is always fun to talk about gear, destinations, tips, techniques, etc. Not surprisingly some have ambitious travel plans that are similar to our own plans. We are always excited to see Kosmos and&nbsp;it is getting to be more of a treat to chat with the various marina folks.<\/p>\n<p>We have been bad about taking pictures lately. We are almost always focused on some boat activity (docking, organizing, washing, etc.), meeting new people, or just plain sleeping.
