Monday, December 1, 2025 — It was another colorful dawn, despite the fact that the sunrise itself was completely blocked by clouds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After we finished school and morning chores, we went to lunch at Grabbers<\/a> with Tiki Tour.<\/a> Conveniently, Grabbers had their own dock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"\/<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As we were walking in, we saw a ray swimming around the dock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Lubber’s Landing<\/a>, there were several games and water toys, so it was easy to spend a full day there. They also had a swimming pool, a resident cat and a resident rooster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were sad, but not surprised, to report that it was a stereotypical Bahamian meal: outrageously expensive for mediocre food. We\u2019ve been spoiled by the better prices (though still high by US standards) and better tasting food in Marsh Harbour<\/a>.\u00a0But at least at Grabbers the portion sizes were generous. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After lunch, we went for a walk around the island to enjoy more time on dry land. The little we saw of the island looked very stereotypical Bahamain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We walked to a restaurant called Nippers that was on the beach. We didn’t actually go into the restaurant, we just cut through the grounds to get beach access. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We followed the beach back towards Grabbers for a short way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then found a public beach access walkway where we could exit the beach without cutting through someone’s private property. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The path let out onto a small road. We passed the school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The small road connected to the road back to Grabbers, so we did a small loop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early evening, the Tiki kids came over and played D & D.\u00a0Here was the sunset and the dusk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
