The hole was a random deep spot in an otherwise shallow area that was surprisingly close to shore. There was a platform anchored there, and people dove into the hole using the line to help them descend/ascend. Everyone in the cruiser family group snorkeled, adults and kids. They saw some fish. Eric said it was his worst nightmare — a deep, dark abyss. Keith said it was cool, though it was eerie to look down into the hole. Afterwards, the kids played in the sand.

The next stop was the Shrimp Hole, which was a relatively short drive from Dean’s Blue Hole. From the road, they did a short hike down a trail that led behind an abandoned church.

The Shrimp Hole was basically a small pond with lots of shrimp covering the rocks inside the pond. It was rocky and shallow and the water was not inviting, so they did not attempt to swim.

They swung by a gas station to fill the tank up before the next stop, which was a grocery store. Everyone was impressed with the store. It was smaller than the Georgetown store, but it was much better stocked than Georgetown was. They had a surprisingly good selection of frozen foods and produce. And Eric and Keith found bread there! Woo hoo!

They returned to Tiny’s, where they left the vehicle in the parking lot with the keys inside. The group ordered pizza at Tiny’s to be picked up later. Then they went back to their respective boats and showered. Once they were cleaned up, the group headed back to Tiny’s to eat the pizza that they’d ordered.

In the evening, they called Christi and recounted their day. Christi was sad to have missed out — she would have loved the activities.

Continued… The next stop was Erica’s Store and Bakery in Clarencetown.
