Sunday, March 29 — It rained hard throughout the night, and it was still raining in the morning. At 0500, it also became vey windy. We’d made plans to meet Scott and Sheila<\/a> at the sailing club<\/a> at 0945. We lucked out because the rain stopped as we were getting ready to go. Here was Eric bailing out the dinghy prior to our trek to shore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly after we tied up to the dock, the rain resumed and the wind picked up even more. We had come a little early so that we could buy a pass to use the dinghy dock, and were disappointed to find that the office didn’t open until 1000. We hung out under the sailing club’s covered patio until the office opened and we could get a pass. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also let us buy a parking pass for an extra $10 per day. Once the passes were sorted out, the five of us went to breakfast at a restaurant called First Watch, which was located in a strip mall in the nearby town of Jupiter. They had a lot of unique dishes, such as lemon-blueberry cornbread and carrot cake pancakes. The food was so good. They also had yummy and unique blended fruit juice drinks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a lovely visit with them, catching up on all that had happened since we’d last seen them. Here was a group shot outside the restaurant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After breakfast, they took us over to Johnny and Joanne\u2019s<\/a>. Scott and Sheila came inside and the whole group visited for a while. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We didn’t stay all that long because Eric was anxious to get to the Palm Beach boat show<\/a> to see if he could get a good deal on a new dinghy motor.<\/a> He also wanted to talk to Torqueedo about the dead motor and buy another anchor swivel<\/a> from Mantis. Johnny and Joanne kindly let us borrow their car <\/a>again. We said our goodbyes to the group and headed out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christi and Keith had no interest in going to the boat show, so they dropped Eric off a few blocks from the entrance<\/a> and set off in search of a bookstore. Eric called a few minutes later and said to come back and pick him back up. This show was for mega yachts. After looking at the vendor list, he didn\u2019t think he would find what he was looking for here, so there was no point in spending the $40 to get in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before going back to the sailing club, we swung by the Mexican market, located directly across the street from Taqueria Miguel<\/a>, to pick up a few ingredients that Christi needed for dinner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
