We wanted to mention that there is a huge bird population that lives around the fuel dock. There are a lot of pelicans and seagulls, but there are many other bird species, too. Here are a few that have been hanging out by our boat:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were also tons of little fish hanging out around the fuel dock, too. The first photo are the fish that live in the shadow of Kosmos. The second photo are the fish that prefer the bright sunlight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving on to the typical blog update: On Saturday, January 7, the majestic full moon set at almost the exact same time as the sun rose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The boat waxing continued all day. We did chores in the morning. At about 1400 (2:00 pm), we headed out to run errands. In yesterday’s post<\/a>, we mentioned that we’d made new friends who had also previously circumnavigated. Their boat name is Saphira, and one of the crew members came with us for errands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our first goal was to find the whale museum, which we’d heard was fantastic. Sadly, we were unsuccessful. But getting lost turned out to be fortuitous because we passed a produce market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We stopped and did some shopping. This place had a better selection, better produce and lower prices than the grocery store. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the produce market, we went to Chadroui to get the rest of the groceries on our list. On our way back, we stopped by the skate park on the malecon<\/a>, where Oceananigans was hanging out with several other boat families.\u00a0Keith made some new friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
