Yosemite was very fun. It took a long time to get there. The first night we stayed outside the park in an Air B&B. We stoped in the Mariposa Grove. We saw a GIGANTIC tree! Teddy Roosevelt himself stood in front of it a long time ago. For all I know, that tree convinced Teddy to create national parks.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Yosemite \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s amusant. On a mis beaucoup de temps pour y arriver. La premi\u00e8re nuit nous avons dormi en dehors du parc dans un airb&b. Nous nous sommes arr\u00eat\u00e9s \u00e0 Mariposa grove. Nous avons vu un arbre gigantesque! Teddy Roosevelt s\u2019est tenu debout devant lui il y a longtemps. A ce que je sache, cet arbre a convaincu Teddy de cr\u00e9er les parcs nationaux. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we arrived, we found stuff in the bear box. We set up our tents. Heath and I slept in the same tent, Mom and Dad slept in the truck bed (In a small tent with an air mattress) and Heath\u2019s dad slept in his van. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Quand on est arriv\u00e9, on a trouv\u00e9 des choses dans le casier \u00e0 ours. On a install\u00e9 nos tentes. Heath et moi on a dormi dans la m\u00eame tente, maman et papa ont dormi dans le coffre du truck (dans une petite tente avec un matelas gonflable) et le papa de Heath a dormi dans son van. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We had a river and a creek near us. The water was all snowmelt and very cold. The river had a strong current but other than that it was fun. I forgot my water shoes, so I had to use my flip-flops. The creek was much more fun. It was rocky (though it was small rocks), so it was tough to walk around without shoes. The current was very strong, but it was pretty shallow.  There were a few islands which we walked a on. Dad and Heath\u2019s dad had a chair setup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Nous avions une rivi\u00e8re et une crique proche de nous. L\u2019eau venait de la neige fondue et donc \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s froide. Il y avait beaucoup de courant dans la rivi\u00e8re mais \u00e0 part \u00e7a c\u2019\u00e9tait amusant. J\u2019ai oubli\u00e9 mes chaussons d\u2019eau, donc j\u2019ai utilis\u00e9 mes tongs. La crique \u00e9tait beaucoup plus amusante. Il y avait des rochers (des petits rochers) donc c\u2019\u00e9tait dur de marcher sans chaussure. Le courant \u00e9tais tr\u00e8s fort mais \u00e7a n\u2019\u00e9tait pas profond. Il y avait des petites \u00eeles sur lesquelles nous avons march\u00e9. Papa et le papa de Heath avait install\u00e9 des chaises. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a large tent village (permanent vinyl tents with heating on platforms). There were showers, a pool and a few restaurants. We ate some pizza there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il y avait un village permanent avec des tentes (des tentes permanentes en vinyl sur une plateforme avec des chauffages). Il y avait des douches, une piscine et quelques restaurants. Nous y avons mang\u00e9 des pizzas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We went on a huge hike. Mom drove us up to Glacier Point, then we walked back down. Mom picked us up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous sommes all\u00e9s faire une tr\u00e8s grande randonn\u00e9e. Maman nous a conduit jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Glacier point, et apr\u00e8s nous sommes redescendus \u00e0 pied. Maman est venue nous chercher en bas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I like boat travel more than camping. At the boat you have a kitchen, bathroom with shower included, a lot more storage and nice beds. In camping, you have to use a stove, the bathrooms aren\u2019t that nice, you have to go to town to shower, not much storage and a sleeping bags with a cushion and a pillow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re voyager en bateau plus que le camping. Dans le bateau tu as une cuisine, une salle de bain avec une douche, beaucoup de rangements et de bons lits. Au camping tu dois utiliser un r\u00e9chaud, les toilettes ne sont pas terrible, tu dois aller au village pour te doucher, il n\u2019y a pas beaucoup de rangement et tu dors dans un sac de couchage sur des coussins avec un oreiller. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
