On Saturday we went out to eat again at the marina. On Sunday we didn\u2019t do anything in the morning. In the afternoon, we were planning to eat at the marina restaurant, but dad talked to boat people for too long and didn\u2019t get back before it closed. So he COOKED DINNER FOR US???!!! On Monday we rented a car and went to a town called Puerto Madero. We had a really disappointing meal, then we got dessert in the closest real city, Tapachula.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/IMG_6391.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette semaine \u00e9tait plut\u00f4t amusante. Samedi on a mang\u00e9 \u00e0 la marina. Dimanche nous n\u2019avons pas fait beaucoup de choses le matin. Pour d\u00eener, nous voulions manger au restaurant de la marina, mais papa a parl\u00e9 avec des personnes pendant trop longtemps, et le restaurant a ferm\u00e9. Donc, IL A CUISIN\u00c9 LE D\u00ceNER POUR NOUS ???!!!. Lundi on a lou\u00e9 une voiture et on est all\u00e9 \u00e0 un village qui s\u2019appelait Puerto Madero. Notre repas \u00e9tait d\u00e9cevant, puis on a \u00e9t\u00e9 manger un dessert \u00e0 la ville la plus proche, Tapachula.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/IMG_6324.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday we went back to Tapachula with another cruiser and went to a restaurant that I picked out. After that we went grocery shopping and got a bunch of stuff. Wednesday we went to a town called Playa Linda for lunch, but we couldn\u2019t find a restaurant that took credit cards, so we just went back to the marina.&nbsp;Thursday we took some pictures of Puerto Madero, then we returned the car. After that Dad checked us out of the port captain and scheduled a dog to come on Saturday to search us. Mom and I stayed home and relaxed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/IMG_6395-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Tapachula airport still had Christmas decorations up<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mardi on est revenu \u00e0 Tapachula avec un autre matelot et nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 un restaurant que j\u2019ai choisi. Apr\u00e8s \u00e7a on a \u00e9t\u00e9 faire des courses. Mercredi nous sommes all\u00e9s \u00e0 un village qui s\u2019apelle Playa Linda pour le repas, mais nous n\u2019avons pas trouv\u00e9 un restaurant qui accepte les cartes de cr\u00e9dit, donc nous sommes retourn\u00e9s \u00e0 la marina.&nbsp;Jeudi nous avons fait des photos de Puerto Madero, et apr\u00e8s \u00e7a on est retourn\u00e9 \u00e0 la voiture. Puis, Papa a pr\u00e9venu le capitaine du port de notre d\u00e9part et il a pr\u00e9vu la visite d\u2019un chien pour nous inspecter. Maman et moi sommes rest\u00e9s sur le bateau.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/IMG_6405.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday we went on a chocolate\/ancient Mayan ruins tour. Our guide was really nice and his name was Miguel. First we had breakfast at an award winning chocolate makers home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/IMG_6410.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">cacao fruit hanging on the tree &#8212; chocolate is the grinded up seeds of this fruit<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Vendredi nous sommes all\u00e9s visiter une chocolaterie\/ruins Maya. Le guide Miguel \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s gentil.&nbsp;Premi\u00e8rement, on a mang\u00e9 le petit d\u00e9jeuner \u00e0 la maison d\u2019un chocolatier m\u00e9daill\u00e9<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/image-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">inside of the cacao fruit<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The breakfast was amazing, then we learned about making chocolate. I got to taste cacao fruit right out of the pod, and it tasted nothing like chocolate. It tasted like candy. We helped grind some chocolate, which was pretty fun.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/IMG_6474.mov\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">grinding cacao seeds the ancient Mayan way<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Le petit d\u00e9jeuner \u00e9tait trop bon, et apr\u00e8s \u00e7a on a appris \u00e0 faire du chocolat. J\u2019ai mang\u00e9 le fruit de cacao tous juste cueilli, il n\u2018avait pas le go\u00fbt du chocolat, c\u2019\u00e9tait comme un bonbon. On a aid\u00e9 \u00e0 faire du chocolat ce qui \u00e9tait plut\u00f4t amusant.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/IMG_6497-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">mayan temple<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Then we went to the Mayan ruins, which were cool. We learned about ancient Mayan traditions. I liked some of the carvings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/IMG_6508-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">mayan ruins: a structure behind Keith and the sports field in front of him<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s \u00e7a on a visit\u00e9 des ruines Maya, qui \u00e9taitte&nbsp; cool. On a appris des choses sur les traditions Maya.
