We woke up at around 3:00 in the morning. Our friends arrived soon after. We left the marina at 4:00 to pick up the advisors. I went back to sleep, so I don\u2019t know when they got on board.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Bridge-of-the-Americas-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Bridge of the Americas<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La travers\u00e9 du canal de panama \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s fatigante. Je me suis lev\u00e9 vers 3:00 du matin. Nos amis sont arriv\u00e9s juste apr\u00e8s. Nous sommes partis de la marina \u00e0 4:00 pour chercher les conseillers. J\u2019ai re-dormi, donc je ne sais pas quand il sont arriv\u00e9s sur le bateau.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/PXL_20250119_110317068.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Pulling into the lock to tie up to the wall<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mom woke me up for the first lock. I didn\u2019t have to do anything because we were rafting with another boat, so I just watched. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_7374.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Here comes the sailboat that is going to nest up to us<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Maman ma revealer pour la premi\u00e8re \u00e9cluse. J\u2019avais rien \u00e0 faire parce que on a d\u00e9riv\u00e9 avec un autre bateau, donc j\u2019ai juste regard\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_0677-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Taken from the sailboat as they approached us to nest up<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After that we did the two other locks up. The only scary moment was when a fender got stuck in a hole in the wall, but we managed to get it out. After that me and mom had to watch the fenders to make sure they didn\u2019t get stuck again.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_0681-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Nested up with the sailboat<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Puis on a fait les deux autres \u00e9cluses. Le seul moment effrayant c\u2019\u00e9tait quand un garde boue a \u00e9t\u00e9 coinc\u00e9 dans un trou dans le mur, mais nous avons r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 le sortir. Apr\u00e8s \u00e7a maman et moi devions regarder les garde boue pour \u00eatre s\u00fbr qu\u2019ils ne soient pas encore coinc\u00e9s.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_0675-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Everyone is all tied up and ready for the water to fill up in the lock<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When we went into the lake, mom cooked us all breakfast. After that we just sat around and looked at the scenery while driving across the lake.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_0555.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Me and Mom watching the fenders<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Quand nous sommes rentr\u00e9s dans le lac, maman a cuisin\u00e9 un petit dejeuner pour tout le monde. Puis nous avons juste regard\u00e9 le paysage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_7542.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Watching the scenery in Lake Gatun<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When we arrived at the 2nd set of locks to go back down to sea level, they said that we arrived too early. So we tied up to a mooring and dad took a nap. The rest of us just sat around again.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_7420.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Our advisors, Amado and Thaddeus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Quand nous sommes arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 la deuxi\u00e8me paire d\u2019\u00e9cluse, ils nous ont dit que nous \u00e9tions arriv\u00e9s trop t\u00f4t, donc nous avons juste attach\u00e9 le bateau \u00e0 un amarrage. Papa a dormi, et nous nous sommes juste assis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_0547.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Our advisor Thaddeus<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2nd set of locks went pretty much the same as the first set, and the gates looked really cool when they opened.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_0669-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Taken from the sailboat as they approached us to nest up<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La deuxi\u00e8me paire d\u2019\u00e9cluse \u00e9tait la m\u00eame que la premi\u00e8re, et les portes \u00e9taient tr\u00e8s cool quand elles s\u2019ouvraients\u2019ou. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_0667-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Nested up again; waiting for the container ship to come in behind us<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After we did those we went into the bay and dropped the advisors off. Then we arrived at the marina and had some dinner at the marina restaurant.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kosmos.liveflux.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_6666.jpeg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Lock Gates opening to let us out.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s \u00eatre parti des \u00e9cluses on a d\u00e9pos\u00e9 les conseillers.
