All is well. We have more pictures to share. This time from Manihi, the first atoll we visited. As you can see is quite different from the Marquesas.
The view from our window. A little slice of paradise. This stretch of land is called Tatate.
Here is a picture of the main town, Paeua, and of a building on coral near the town.
This is the low land between Paeua and Tatate.
Richard departs with the divers that freed the sailboats. They are the same divers we went diving with later in the week.
The fancy hotel on the island with bungalows in the shallow water. This is where Richard stayed. Oh la la.
Entrance to the hotel. This is what the white road looks like.
View of the lagoon from shore. Notice how rocky the beach is. There isn’t much sand around here.
Orange Coconuts!
The whole area is a sinkhole. You sink slower in the lighter colored sand. The lower, pinker sand is wet and you sink very fast.
The huge expanse of angle deep water just south of the hotel. You can just make out a couple people out there walking along.
Sunset
Best sunset photo yet =)
So beautiful!
