Tuesday, March 4 — These cute little birds are all around the marina.

And so are these pretty white birds.
We’re relieved to report that it rained heavily during the night, which helped tremendously with the salt accumulation. We still had to hand dry the spots that we’d missed yesterday in order to completely eliminate the salt, but it was much easier to do today than it had been yesterday.
After our morning routine of schoolwork and boat chores, Eric and Keith went into town for lunch. Christi stayed onboard to work on her land-life project. They got pizza at a place called Corner Pizza. They thought the name was funny since the pizzeria wasn’t located on a corner. Keith ordered a pizza with every meat and vegetable they offered, including jerk chicken. They were happy to report the pizza was good.
Corner Pizza was located on the west side of the East Harbor. Since the isthmus separating the two harbors was narrow, it was a relatively short walk. Here are some more pictures of the town. The first one is the side view of the ornate building that we’d posted a photo of on Monday. From the outside, it looks like it’s multiple different buildings, but they are all connected together.

Many of the buildings look like they have stores on the ground level with residences above.

They got soft-serve ice cream at Kool Down, which was down the street from the pizza place.

In the evening, we had a quiet night aboard.
