Stormy Weather and Magic the Gathering

On Wednesday, July 16, we had a colorful dawn.

This guy hung out and watched the sunrise with Christi.

Yesterday, we were all tired and moving slow from the long day on Monday. It was also stormy weather, which added to our lethargy. Our big outing was to go to Costco to pick up Keith’s replacement glasses and do more shopping. While we were out, we also dropped off the used oil at an auto parts store that accepted used oil.

This morning, we were feeling more motivated. Eric started the day by reorganizing and putting away the spare parts, which involved moving many things around so he could put the spare parts into an easier to access location. He also re-registered EPERB, which has to be done every couple of years. Eric commented that he was glad that we did Kosmos’s renovation in San Diego, where the weather was mild. It would have been exponentially more difficult and taken longer to complete in a hot, rainy climate.

We’re excited to report that Keith finished all his 7th grade school work today, too! He still has to finish his science project, which he needs a few more days of data to complete, and Christi still has some grading to do, but we’re 99.5% done now!

In the afternoon, we went to a game store called Tower of Games in Virginia Beach to play a game called Magic the Gathering with Bigger Boat. We were impressed with the store. It had a lot of tables and chairs for general gaming.

An area specifically for a game called Warhammer.

And a separate room for Dungeons and Dragons. There were four of these little cubbies in the room.

Magic the Gathering was a lot of fun and we had a lovely visit with Bigger Boat. Afterwards, we headed back to the boat and had a quiet night.
