In the morning, Eric changed the impeller and oil on the generator while Christi and Keith did school. In the late afternoon, Eric and Christi went to the beach near to the entrance to the mangrove river. Keith stayed onboard so he could play online games with his friends.

It was a beautiful beach, with fine sand. Looking south from the north end of the beach.

The north end and view of the coastline north.

Looking south: the beach, the river mouth and the coastline beyond.

They tried to walk inland, but the foliage was too dense, so instead they waded out into the water. The reason Kosmos was anchored so far off shore was because it was really shallow close to shore. Christi walked a long, long way before the water made it up to her thighs.

We had another quiet evening onboard. Here was the twilight.

Sunrise on Saturday.

The reason we went to Shroud was to meet up with Tiki Tour and the flotilla of family boats that they had joined up with. The flotilla pulled in on Saturday in the late morning. We think there were six boats that all arrived together, and a seventh arrived later in the day.
The flotilla all agreed to go to The Washing Machine at 1330. We left a half-hour earlier than the rest of the group since our dinghy was so slow. Along the mangrove river, we saw several turtles, a tiny lemon shark and a species of bird that we don’t think we’ve ever seen before.
Since we were going against the current, it took us 45-minutes to get there. Here were some photos taken along the way.

Tiki Tour caught up to us and passed us near the sandbar, which was not far from the rendezvous spot at the mouth of the ocean.
