Eric and Christi woke up totally covered in big bites from the beach yesterday. Christi had been wearing shorts, and most of her bites were on her legs, with a few on her arms. Eric was wearing pants and socks, and he had a lot of bites on his arms and a few on the strip of skin between his pant and sock edges. Keith didn’t have many since he’d been in the water most of the time.
This morning, the bow of the boat changed directions several times as the winds shifted, and the anchorage got a bit rolly. Eric put out the port flopper stopper as he said the discomfort would likely get worse. It also rained a little bit, but not enough to give Kosmos a decent rinse down. She’s getting icky, so we hope it rains soon.
We went to shore after Christi and Keith finished school. We keep forgetting to mention the sunken boat. It has deteriorate badly from when we first reported on it in April 2025. The whole top part that was sticking out of the water is gone and it looks like the hull will come apart any day now.
We decided to walk to the Flying Pig for lunch, then check out the yellow store after we ate. Both were near the airport. Since we didn’t post photos of the walk when we went last year, we’ll post some now. The road to the airport.

Before getting to the other end of the island, we turned down a dirt road lined with bungalows.

That led straight to the entrance to the hotel that the Flying Pig was in. Much to our relief, The Flying Pig was open. It was small, but cute.

The Flying Pig had a limited menu and was notably more expensive than the Yacht Club, with smaller portions. Eric liked his food. Keith said his was mediocre. Christi did not like hers. We doubt we’d go back.

After we finished eating, we headed to the market. We followed the fence than separated the resort from the airport, which took us to the airport entrance.

This was the dock by the airport.

We crossed a bridge over very shallow water.

View from the bridge. We could see the supply ship was in port.

It looked like the store was on the ground floor and the top may have been a hotel or something.

The yellow store had its own dock. View looking towards the airport from their dock.

The blue and pink stores were primarily grocery stores that sold a few miscellaneous items. The yellow store was about half food and about half miscellaneous goods. They had an interesting assortment of items.
Since they hadn’t gotten their shipment from today’s supply delivery yet, the shelves were picked clean. We decided to head over to the pink and blue stores to see if they’d stocked their shelves yet. As we were walking that direction, we passed some cruisers that were on their way to yellow store. They said neither store the pink nor blue stores had stocked their shelves as of yet. Knowing there was no point in going out of our way, we just went back to Kosmos.
Keith went over to Tiki Tour for a few hours in the afternoon. There was talk of the families getting together in the evening, but it never happened. We think everyone was still tired from yesterday’s festivities. We had a quiet night aboard. Here was the dusk.
