Site Problems

We are getting reports that the site is redirecting people to advertising via the address 218.59.175.89. We are not sure what is causing this problem at the moment. The site looks ok for us from Internet Explorer, but we see the problem when we use Firefox.

What people are seeing is if you click on a link inside the site such as this link https://kosmos.liveflux.net/blog, it takes you to the ad. But select and copy that text and put it into the address bar, as if you were typing a new address, and it seems to work. So if you select a story you want to read, copy the URL first and then paste it into the address bar.

Sorry for this, we are trying to track this down…

  1. I have a laptop running Vista and my desktop runs XP. I do not have any problem wth the laptop. The desktop goes to 218.59.175.89 from both IE 7.0.5730.11CO and Firefox 3.0.1. from any click inside the Kosmos blog. I also use Eudora email and the links within the email message always seem to work OK.

I am glad to hear that others are having the same problem. I thought I had a virus or spyware. I have ran searches with AVG anti-Virus, AVG Anti-Spyware, Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. I have tried to disable a bunch of browser Add-ons all to no avail.

I trust you can find out what is going on.
