This week has been interesting. On Saturday, we went back to the Washing Machine again, this time with the Ukrainian family and the family from Mississippi. After we got back, I went over to one of the boats to watch a movie. It was a Christmas movie, which was a little bit cheesy and out of season. 

Cette semaine était intéressante. Samedi on est retourné au washing Machine avec la famille Ukrainienne et celle du Mississippi. Quand je suis rentré, je suis allé sur un autre bateau pour regarder un film. C’était un film de Noël, qui était ringard et hors saison. 

On Sunday, we moved to an anchorage called Highbourne Cay. There was a small resort there with a grocery store and a restaurant, so we got groceries. Mom and I walked around while dad brought the groceries back to the boat. Once dad got back, we ate at the restaurant, which was really good. They gave mom a free glass of wine for Mother’s Day. 

Dimanche on s’est déplacé à un ancrage qui s’appelle Highbourne Cay. Il y avait un petit resort avec une surperette et un restaurant, donc on a fait les courses. Maman et moi on s’est promené pendant que papa a ramené les courses au bateau. Quand papa est revenu on a mangé au restaurant, qui était trop bon. Ils ont donné à maman un verre de vin gratuit pour la fête des mères. 

On Monday, we moved around the corner of the island to a calmer anchorage. It was really rolly and humid, so we didn’t do much. 

Lundi nous nous sommes déplacés autour de l’ile à un ancrage plus calme. Il y avait beaucoup de roulis et c’était humide, donc on n’a pas fait grand chose. 

On Tuesday we left for Florida. Dad had the air conditioning on the entire time, which was awesome. Wednesday we were at sea, and we arrived in Florida early Thursday morning. I mostly played video games and listened to audio books while at sea. After we got settled in the anchorage, we went to shore. We ate at a small French cafe, which had really good food. After breakfast, we went back to the boat and rested. Dad’s cousin invited us over to his place for dinner, which was yummy. 

Mardi on est parti pour la Floride. Papa a alluméutilizer la climatisation tout le temps, ce qui était chouette. Mercredi on a navigué toute la journée, et nous sommes arrivés en Floride tôt jeudi matin. J’ai joué à des jeux videos et écouté des livres audios la plupart du temps. Après qu’on se soit installé à l’ancrage, on est allé à terre. Nous avons mangé à un petit café français, qui était très bon. Après le petit déjeuner on est resté sur le bateau. Le cousin de papa nous a invité pour le dîner, qui était très bon. 

On Friday we did our normal routine, then went to shore for lunch. We ate at a hipster Mexican restaurant. Mom couldn’t eat anything other than salads, but dad and I got a lot. The burritos were good, but they used white rice instead of Mexican rice, and the ingredients in the burritos weren’t distributed properly. After lunch, we went back to the French cafe for dessert, then went back to the boat for the rest of the day. 

Vendredi on a fait notre routine habituelle puis nous sommes allés à terre pour le dejeuner. Nous sommes allés à un restaurant Mexican hipster. Maman ne pouvait rien manger sauf les salades, mais papa et moi avons beaucoup mangé. Le burrito était bon, mais ils ont utilisé le riz normal, au lieu du riz mexicain, et les ingrédients n’étaient pas répartis correctement. Après le déjeuner on est retourné au cafe français pour le dessert, ensuite on est retourne au bateau pour la reste du journey.
