Sunday, November 30, 2025 — We apparently missed a beautiful rainbow this morning. A fellow cruiser sent us these photos.

This morning started off as a lazy Sunday morning. We had no plans to move. Then, one of the family boats announced they were moving to an anchorage where the kids could play in the water. The other two families said they’d go, too. The sea conditions weren’t going to be great and Eric wasn’t eager to go. But they were all in sailboats and it was a good day to sail, so we understood why they were eager to move. We knew that if we wanted to stay with the families on sailboats, we’d have to get used to traveling on windy days instead of calm days. We decided to follow.
We made a quick trip to shore to drop off the garbage and pick up a few more items from the big grocery store. We didn’t actually need anything, but we knew it would be a long time before we’d see another well stocked store with good prices. And it would be an even longer time before we’d see such fresh produce again.
We hustled back to Kosmos, stowed the dinghy, and quickly got the boat ready to go to sea. The anchorage they’d chosen was about a 3 hour ride for us, and the trip was uneventful. Even though sea conditions weren’t great, they certainly were not bad. The area around the anchorage was lovely.

Here was where we were on the map.

And here is where we were relative to Marsh Harbour.

Shortly after arriving, Eric and Keith got the dinghy down and met the other families on the beach at Grabbers restaurant. Christi stayed aboard and took a nap.

The kids played along the shore for a while. One of the families brought a foil board and sea scooter, which the kids had a blast playing with. Concerningly, the kids found a lot of broken glass and a few rusty nails. They also found a big sea snail. Much to Eric’s dismay, he’d gotten a couple bug bites.
They were at the beach for an hour and a half. Then everyone returned to their boats for showers and dinner. Here were the sunset — or rather sun dipping into the low atmospheric clouds — and twilight.

After dinner, one of the boats, Freya, had all the families over for a get together. We all had a lovely time with the other families.
