Overall, I like Baja California, Mexico It has it’s good parts and it’s bad parts. It has beautiful scenery (mostly rock formations… most plants we found were cactus or dead). 

Dans l’ensemble, j’ai aimé Baja California. Mexico a des bons cotés et des moins bons cotés. Il y a de très beaux paysages (plutôt des formations rocheuses…. La plupart des plantes qu’on a trouvé étaient des cactus ou étaient mortes). 

As for civilization, La Paz is nice with good food and a beautiful malecon. Loreto is a good town, not too big and too small. Bahia  de Los Angeles is super small, but it is a good town nonetheless. But my favorite town is Santa Rosalia. It has good food, especially pastries, and is cute and small.  

Comme civilisation, La Paz est sympa, avec de la bonne nourriture et une jetée magnifique. Loreto est un village agréable, pas trop gros, pas trop petit. Bahia de Los Angeles est super petit mais il y a un village agréable malgré tout. Mais mon endroit préféré est Santa Rosalia. Il y a de la bonne nourriture, particulièrement des pâtisseries et c’est très petit et mignon. 

My favorite rural place is called Ensenada del Candelero. There is a nice beach with soft sand. There is a large rock formation separating the beach into two halves. You can climb the rocks and relax under in the cool shade they provide. There is a passageway in the rocks so you can go between the two beaches. It is nice in the passageway. It is shady all the time except for noon. 

Mon endroit rural préféré s’appelle Ensenada del Candelero. Il y a une chouette plage avec du sable doux. Il y a une grosse formation rocheuse qui sépare la plage en deux parties. Tu peux grimper sur les rochers et te relaxer en dessous avec la super ombre qu’ils fournissent. Il y a un passage entre les rochers pour aller d’une plage à l’autre. C’est chouette dans le passage. Il y a de l’ombre tout le temps sauf à midi. 

Both beaches have an estuary. At the full and new moons, the estuary fills up with water from the Sea of Cortez. The sand near the estuary is thick, and has a bumpy texture. There are tiny crabs near the estuary. 

Les deux plages ont un estuaire. À la pleine lune et la nouvelle lune, l’estuaire se rempli avec de l’eau venant de la mer de Cortez. Le sable près de l’estuaire est épais et a beaucoup de bosses. Il y a des petits crabes près de l’estuaire. 

There is an awesome hiking trail. You have to jump from rock to rock, landing with hard thumps. There’s a difficult spot, where you have to climb down tiny ledges while facing outward.  At the foot of the hike, there are a lot of mangrove trees.

Il y a un super chemin de randonnée. Tu dois sauter de rochers en rochers, et tu atterris en faisant beaucoup de bruits. Il y a une partie qui est difficile, où tu dois grimper des petits corniches pendant que tu regardes l’extérieur. En bas de la montagne, il y a beaucoup de mangrove.
