This week has been very fun. On Saturday, we didn’t do much, we drove around in the dinghy. On Sunday, we didn’t do anything. On Monday morning, we went to the city of Nassau. The drive there was scary. There were a bunch of people who didn’t follow any of the boating rules. We stayed at a resort/waterpark called Atlantis with a little marina. The rest of Monday was at the water park. We spent Tuesday and Wednesday going to the water park.
Cette semaine était amusante. Samedi on n’a pas fait beaucoup de choses, on s’est promené en radeau. Dimanche on n’a rien fait. Lundi matin nous nous sommes déplacés à la ville de Nassau. La route était effrayante. Il y avait beaucoup de personnes qui ne respectaient pas toutes les règles de conduite de bateau. On est resté au resort / parc aquatique qui s’appelle Atlantis, qui avait une petite marina. Le reste du Lundi on a joué au parc aquatique. Mardi et Mercredi on a joué au parc aquatique.
It was really big, so had to walk a lot. We also had to climb a bunch of stairs to get to the waterslides. There were many aquariums and restaurants at Atlantis. The food was pretty good and really expensive. We went to a Mexicanish restaurant, but they didn’t have burritos.
C’était très grand, donc on devait beaucoup marcher. On devait monter beaucoup d’escaliers pour accéder aux toboggans aquatiques. Il y avait beacoup d’aquariums et de restaurants dans Atlantis. Le a nourriture était plutôt bonne, mais très chère. Nous avons mangé à un restaurant Mexican, mais il n’y avait pas de burritos.
There were a bunch of rides I will be rating from a scale of 1 to 10.
The Rapid River was a classical lazy river for the first half, except for a giant wave that came occasionally. The second half consisted of rapids with calm parts in between. 9.3
The Jungle Slide was really slow and boring and was meant for small children. 2.4
The Leap Of Faith was a super high drop. It only lasted about five seconds, and when I went on it, popped a zit on my nose. 5.7
The Challenger was where two people raced to see who goes down the slide the quickest. Dad and I did it six times. 7.0
There is a ride called the Serpent Slide. It was really cool; you went down a twisty slide in a raft then it let out in a tube that went through one of the shark aquariums. 7.8
The Drop and Fall slides were on the second level of the Power Tower. I’m not sure which was which, but I liked one more than the other. 5.8 and 7.6
The Surge Slide was on top of the Power Tower. It usually had a really long line. It was really cool, but it’s not worth the wait. 6.5
The Abyss is the other slide on top of the Power Tower. It was like a mini Leap Of Faith. 5.5
Il y avait beaucoup d’attractions que je vais noter sur une échelle de 1 à 10.
Le Rapid River est une rivière calme traditionnelle pour la première partie, sauf qu’il y avait une géante vague qui passait. La deuxième partie c’était des rapides avec des parties calmes. 9.3
Le Jungle Slide était lent et ennuyant. C’était pour des petits enfants. 2.4
Le Leap Of Faith était une très grande descente. Il durait 5 secondes, et quand je l’ai fait, il m’a percé un bouton sur le nez. 5.7
Le Challenger c’était une course entre deux personnes pour voir qui était le plus rapide. Papa et moi on l’a fait 6 fois. 7.0
Le Serpent Slide était très cool; tu descendais un toboggan qui serpente dans un radeau qui te propulse dans un tube qui traverse un aquarium avec des requins dedans. 7.8
Les Drop and Fall slides était sur le deuxième étage de la Power Tower. Je ne sais pas lequel est lequel, mais j’en ai aimé un plus que l’autre. 5.8 et 7.6
Le Surge Slide était en haut de la Power Tower. Normalement il y avait une très longue ligne. C’était très cool, mais ça ne vallait pas l’attente. 6.5
Le Abyss était sur l’autre côté de la Power Tower. C’était comme un petit Leap Of Faith. 5.5
On Thursday, we went to a different marina in Nassau. Mom and I got really sick on the ride over. We also got fuel for the boat, which made Mom and me even sicker. After getting settled, we ate at the marina restaurant.
Jeudi on est allé à une marina différente à Nassau. Maman et moi étions très malade sur la route. On a aussi acheté de l’essence pour le bateau, ce qui nous a rendu encore plus malade. Après nous être installé, on a mangé au restaurant de la marina.
On Friday, we rented a car. First we went to an auto parts store and got oil for the boat. Next we went to a Swiss bakery where we got pastries. Finally we went to a grocery store and got groceries. The rest of the day Dad and I worked on boat chores, which was really boring.
Vendredi on a loué une voiture. En premier on est allé au magasin de pieces détachées et acheté de l’huile pour le bateau. Après ça nous sommes allés à la pâtisserie Suisse où on a acheté des pâtisseries. Finalement on a fait les courses. Le reste de la journée papa et moi avons fait des réparations sur le bateau, c’était très ennuyant.
