This week has been fun. On Saturday, we went to the coffee place and got drinks, then I did tutoring. After tutoring we left for Baltimore. The passage was a little bit rough at the start, but it calmed down. On Sunday, we arrived in Baltimore. We ate at a restaurant called Pussers, then rested for the rest of the day. 

Cette semaine était amusante. Samedi nous sommes allés à un café pour prendre des boissons, puis j’ai fait le tutoring. Après ça nous sommes partis pour Baltimore. Le passage était un peu agité au départ mais l’océan s’est calmé. Dinanche nous sommes arrivés à Baltimore. Nous avons mangé à un restaurant qui s’appelle Pussers, puis nous nous sommes reposés le reste du jour. 

On Monday, we went to Fort McHenry. Since we didn’t have a car, we took the water taxi. We then had to walk almost a mile to a bus stop, took the bus, then had to walk more inside the fort. It was very boring, and I learned that frigates have a higher cannon range than forts. We ate at an Asian restaurant, and I got Mongolian spicy beef. I didn’t realize how spicy it would be. I ate a single piece and I almost cried; my mouth was on fire, and I had to constantly drink water to not die. 

Lundi nous sommes allés au Fort McHenry. On avait pas de voiture, donc nous avons pris le taxi d’eau. On devait marcher un mile pour arriver à l’arrêt de bus, puis on devait monter dans le bus, puis on devait marcher dans le fort. C’était très ennuyant. J’ai appris que les canons de la frégate pouvaient tirer plus loin que ceux d’un fort. Nous avons mangé à un restaurant asiatique, et j’ai commandé un boeuf épicé Mongolien. Je n’avais pas réalisé à quel point c’était épicé. J’ai mangé une seul bout et j’ai presque pleuré; ma bouche était en feu, et je devais boire de l’eau constamment pour ne pas mourrir. 

On Tuesday, we had this boat family over to Kosmos, then went to the park with them. On Wednesday we just laid low, but mom did make amazing banana chocolate chip bars. On Thursday, we picked up a rental car, then went to a restaurant that supposedly has really god crab cakes. There was a big storm about to hit, so we just went back to the boat and stayed there for the rest of the day. 

Mardi, une famille de matelots nous a rendu visite sur Kosmos, puis nous sommes allés au parc avec eux.  Mercredi nous n’avons rien fait, mais maman a cuisiné des délicieuses barres de céréales à la banane et aux petites de chocolat. Jeudi nous sommes allés chercher la voiture de location, puis nous sommes allés à un restaurant avec des bons pâtés au crabe. Il y avait une grande tempête qui allait arriver, donc nous sommes retournés au bateau et nous y sommes restés pour le reste de la journée. 

On Friday, we went to these four historic ships. There was a submarine, a lightship (which is a floating lighthouse), a coast guard ship and the last all-sail American navy vessel. I learned that submarines have an ice cream machine on them. 

Vendredi nous sommes allés voir quatre bateaux historiques. Il y avait un sous-marin, un bateau phare (qui est un phare flottant), un bateau des gardes côtes et le dernier bateau à voile de la marine Américaine . J’ai appris que les sous-marins ont des machines à glace.
