This week has been amazing. On Saturday, we went to Comicon for our last day there. We went to a panel with Matt Diniman and the narrator of Dungeon Crawler Carl, Jeff Hays. After the panel, we went to an event sponsored by Audible. It was at an arcade, and both Matt Diniman and Jeff Hays were there. It had free food and arcade games, as well. We waited in line for two and a half hours before we got in. Matt had to go do something else, but we still got a picture with him as he was leaving. We also got free mugs, and Jeff even signed one of them for me!
Cette semaine était trop géniale. Samedi nous sommes allés à la Comicon pour notre dernier jour. Nous sommes allés à un panel avec Matt Diniman et le narrateur de Dungeon Crawler Carl, Jeff Hays. Après le panel nous sommes allés à un évènement qui était sponsorisé par Audible. C’était dans une arcade où Matt Diniman et Jeff Hays étaient là. Il y avait de la nourriture gratuite et des jeux d’arcade aussi. On est resté en ligne pendant 2 heures et demies pour entrer. Matt devait faire quelque chose d’autre, mais on a quand même fait une photo avec lui quand il partait. Il y avait aussi des tasses gratuites, et Jeff en a même signé une pour moi!
On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday we took care of chores and saw friends and family. We flew back to Virginia on Tuesday night, and we arrived in Baltimore at 5:00 AM est on Wednesday. We then waited for three hours, then flew down to Norfolk, which only took an hour. For the rest of Wednesday, I was pretty much a zombie. I took a nap, but dad woke me up in the middle of it because we were going to get lunch. On the way there I was super tired and my head kept dropping, but a split second later I pulled it back up. On Thursday, I was also really tired. We didn’t do much except for going on a walk.
Dimanche, lundi et mardi nous avons fait des corvées et vu des amis et de la famille. Nous avons volé vers la Virginie mardi soir, puis nous sommes arrivés à Baltimore à 5:00 heure EST le mercredi. On est resté pour 3 heures, puis on a volé vers Norfolk ce qui a duré juste une heure. Pour le reste de Mercredi j’étais un zombie. J’ai fait une sieste, mais papa m’a réveillé parce qu’on mangeait le repas. Sur le chemin j’étais très fatigué et ma tête ne faisait que de tomber, mais une demie seconde plus tard je la redressais. Jeudi j’étais aussi très fatigué. On n’a pas fait beaucoup de chose à part une promenade.
On Friday, we went to Yorktown. I was still kind of in zombie mode, so I didn’t learn a whole lot except that in old days the reason why the old soldiers walked in straight lines while they fought. It was because muskets were very inaccurate, so you needed a whole barrage of bullets to have a chance to hit someone. The highlight of the day was when I saw a musket demonstration, followed by a cannon demonstration. We went to dinner near Yorktown.
Vendredi nous Sommes allés à Yorktown. J’étais encore en mode zombie, donc je n’ai pas appris grand chose sauf que dans le passé la raison pour laquelle les soldats combattaient en ligne était parce que les mousquets n’étaient pas très précis, donc il fallait une pluie de balles pour qu’ils touchent quelqu’un. Le point culminant du jour c’était la démonstration du mousquet, qui était suivie par une démonstration de cannon. On a mangé le dîner proche de Yorktown.
