If you stick something in the sea water it does not take too long for it to be covered in furry green marine growth. To reduce the growth special paint is applied to the bottom of boats. Of course you need to take the boat out of the water to do this, and I got to take some pictures before the bottom painting. It was certainly interesting and educational to see the boat out of water. Ok, technically these pictures pre-date our previous construction update with inside video and photos, but Nordhavn just sent us these cool pictures of them offloading the boat so we thought we would share.
Woohoo, it floats! A new boat is born. And just like a new baby it does not come out exactly clean. No worries, we know it will be sparkly clean when we take delivery in a few months.
We had an exciting day! It was the first time we saw Kosmos in person. We took some pictures and DivX video, including a full boat walkthrough video!
