Keith’s Perspective on Our First Week in Annapolis/Le point de vue de Keith sur notre première semaine à Annapolis
This week has been very fun. On Saturday, we left DC and went to Breton Bay. On Sunday, we went from Breton to the south side of the Solomons. On Monday, we arrived in Annapolis.
Cette semaine était amusante. Samedi nous sommes partis de DC et allés à Breton Bay. Dimanche nous sommes partis de Breton et allés au sud des Solomons. Lundi nous sommes arrivés à Annapolis.
Day One of the Passage from Washington DC to Annapolis, Maryland: Down the Potomac
Saturday, October 4 — Our plan was to leave as soon as it was light enough to safely navigate. The days were getting shorter, and the sun was rising later, so we didn’t untie until 0650.
It was calm and peaceful on the water, though there was patchy fog here and there. There were also a lot of rowing (crew) boats out on the water that we needed to be wary of.

This week has been fun. On Saturday, we went to cryptography museum. It was quite boring and a super long drive to get there. I learned that the old computers were really really big. For lunch we ate at a Thai restaurant.
Cette semaine était amusante. Samedi nous sommes allés au musée de la cryptographie. C’était très ennuyant et un voyage très long pour y aller. J’ai appris que les anciens ordinateurs étaient très grands. Pour le déjeuner nous avons mange à un restaurant Taiwanese.

As soon as we were done with school, we caught a ride share to Trader Joe’s. Due to the one-hour parking limit, last time we’d gone, we had only stocked up on what we needed. This time, we went back for passage food and “fun” items, such as snacks and desserts. Here was Christi waiting for the ride share.
