We made another trip to the Isla Todas Santos. This time we knew just the spot to anchor, nestled between some kelp beds in about 30 feet by the north island. The cloud cover varied, but it was warm and pleasant. At one point in time we thought it was raining, but it was a large school of small fish jumping out of the water. It never actually rained. Ensenada is a pretty touristy place. Cruise ships arrive every weekend and lots of people from Southern California come to visit. The big landmark is an amazingly large and beautiful Mexican flag.

Monday May 15th to Tuesday May 16th from Dana Point, USA to Ensenada, Mexico – We wrapped up at Dana Point with our 50 hour oil change on the engine, transmission, and generator with help from the commissioning staff. Pictured are Glenn (left) and Joe (right).

Thursday May 11th from Dana Point to Catalina to Dana Point Catalina is a great location for boats in Southern California. We had been there with our previous boat. At 35 miles away from Dana Point it took us about 5 hours to get there and 5 hours to get back. This is a nice first trip, not too far, not too close. It gave us a chance test things while underway and get some fun pictures and video. Jeff Merrill, who is our friend, boating mentor, and Nordhavn salesperson, came along to train us.
