San Diego was really fun. I got my braces off, and we visited friends and family. It was weird being back in San Diego, especially the part where we couldn’t go to the boat. We took a red eye back to Panama on Friday (we got here on Saturday).

San Diego était tres amusant. J’ai enlevé mes bagues, et nous avons rendu visite à des amis et à la famille. C’était étrange d’être de retour à San Diego, surtout la parti où on ne pouvait pas aller au bateau. On a pris un vol de nuit pour retourner au Panama le vendredi (on est arrivé Samedi).

This week has been fun. On Saturday we went sightseeing, then went to the grocery store.

Cette semaine était amusante. Samedi on a été faire du tourisme, puis nous sommes allés au supermarché.

On Sunday we crossed the Panama Canal (see my other post for details). On Monday we went on a hike in the jungle with our friends, then we all had breakfast at the marina restaurant. Then we all went to the pool. After that our friends left. After that the craziest thing happened. We went up to the lounge to see if there were any kids there, and some of them were setting up a D&D campaign. Dad volunteered to DM, so I played D&D with them.

The Panama Canal crossing was very tiring. We woke up at around 3:00 in the morning. Our friends arrived soon after. We left the marina at 4:00 to pick up the advisors. I went back to sleep, so I don’t know when they got on board.

La traversé du canal de panama était très fatigante. Je me suis levé vers 3:00 du matin. Nos amis sont arrivés juste après. Nous sommes partis de la marina à 4:00 pour chercher les conseillers. J’ai re-dormi, donc je ne sais pas quand il sont arrivés sur le bateau.

Mom woke me up for the first lock. I didn’t have to do anything because we were rafting with another boat, so I just watched.

Keith’s Perspective on Panama City/Le Point de Vue de Keith sur Panama City

This week has been very eventful. On Saturday morning we arrived at Panama. We did the usual settling in process, then went to go eat something. But in Panama, breakfast really isn’t a thing, so there weren’t any restaurants open. So we just went back to the boat and had some eggs. We checked into the port captain and immigration, then went ate at a restaurant. Mom’s food choices were limited because almost everything had black pepper, and my food was okay.

Cette semaine il s’est passé beaucoup de choses. Samedi on est arrivé au Panama. On s’est installé, et après on a essayé de manger quelque chose. Mais au Panama, il n’y a pas de petit déjeuner, donc nous avons mangé sur le bateau. Nous avons fait l’émigration et on s’est enregistré auprès du capitaine du port. Après ça nous avons trouvé quelque chose à manger. Maman ne pouvait pas manger beaucoup parce que toutes choses avaient du poivre.

Keith’s Perspective on the Passage from Puerto Chipas to Panama City/Le point de vue de Keith sur le passage de Puerto Chipas à Panama City

This week has been really boring. We’ve been at sea the entire week. We left for Panama Saturday morning of January 4th. On Sunday I learned that yogurt tastes the same coming up as it does coming down. I played a lot of video games, listened to a lot of audio books, and ate a lot of food. We saw some dolphins, birds, and even a few turtles.

Cette semaine a été très ennuyante. On a navigué toute la semaine. On est parti pour le Panama le 4 janvier au matin. Dimanche j’ai appris que le yaourt a le même goût quand tu le vomis que quand tu le manges. J’ai joué à beaucoup de jeux video, écouté beaucoup de livres audio, et mangé beaucoup de nourriture. On a vu des dauphins, des oiseaux et des tortues. 

On the last day, I made myself some nachos, but other than that the trip hasn’t been eventful (this was written on the 10th of January). 

Le dernier jour j’ai fait des nachos, mais à part ça le voyage est très ennuyant.
