This week has been very fun. On Saturday, we left DC and went to Breton Bay. On Sunday, we went from Breton to the south side of the Solomons. On Monday, we arrived in Annapolis. 

Cette semaine était amusante. Samedi nous sommes partis de DC et allés à Breton Bay. Dimanche nous sommes partis de Breton et allés au sud des Solomons. Lundi nous sommes arrivés à Annapolis.

Exploring Annapolis, MD

Friday, October 10, 2025 — Today was another social day. Eric worked at the Ocean Posse booth at the boat show all day. For lunch, he got a pizza at The Market, which was really good. In the evening, he went to a party hosted by Lagoon (Lagoon was a catamaran manufacturer — all the Ocean Posse volunteers had been invited to their party).

After Christi and Keith finished school, they walked to the Post Office, which was a little more than a half mile northwest. The town was darling. Here were some photos taken along the way. This was Duke of Gloucester Street.

Busy Social Days in Annapolis, MD

And while the moon wasn’t as dramatic this morning as it had been the previous few days, it was still striking.

Yesterday and today have been very social. Yesterday, Christi had lunch with a friend from college who currently lives about a half-hour away from Annapolis. The last time Christi and Katie had seen each other was when Christi was pregnant, so they had a lot to catch up on!

Replacing the Wing Engine Exhaust and Exploring Eastport in Annapolis, MD

Tuesday October 7 — The moon was just as amazing this morning as it was preparing to set as it had been last night shortly after it rose.

We’re sad to report that the marina was rolly and uncomfortable. It didn’t seem to have any protection from the direction that the wind and waves were coming from today. 🙁

When we were in Baltimore, we’d mentioned that Eric had bought a replacement part for the wing engine exhaust from a supplier in Annapolis, called Portside Marine. This morning, he hailed a ride share to go pick the part up, which was a short drive from our marina in Annapolis.

Welcome to Annapolis, Maryland

continued… Once Kosmos was situated, we quickly took showers and go ready to go out. After three days onboard, we were excited to walk around onshore, especially in a new town. It could be tricky to get on and off the boat with fixed docks, so Eric had set up a line to give us extra leverage.

The marina seemed to be small.
