We are excited to report that there is a story about us in the March 09 edition of the print version of Passagemaker Magazine. We haven’t seen it yet and have no idea what it says, but we are told that it is a 10-page piece, that there is a tickler about our story on the cover, Kosmos is pictured in the table of contents, and the list of our pre-trip education is on their Internet site. So, it sounds like we have gotten some substantial coverage. Those of you who have a subscription should be getting it in the mail any day now, and it should hit the stands soon.

Blog Troubles Update
For those in the USA, Happy Thanksgiving.
I think I have fixed the major blog problem.

Site Problems
We are getting reports that the site is redirecting people to advertising via the address 218.59.175.89. We are not sure what is causing this problem at the moment. The site looks ok for us from Internet Explorer, but we see the problem when we use Firefox.
What people are seeing is if you click on a link inside the site such as this link https://kosmos.liveflux.net/blog, it takes you to the ad. But select and copy that text and put it into the address bar, as if you were typing a new address, and it seems to work. So if you select a story you want to read, copy the URL first and then paste it into the address bar.
Sorry for this, we are trying to track this down…
Crew for Atlantic Crossing Wanted
Are you ready for some adventure? We are looking for one person to join us as crew on our Atlantic crossing passage from the Canary Islands to Barbados. Pending weather, we plan to depart the Canary Island’s the last week of November 2008. The 2,670 nautical mile passage will take approximately 18 days. One of the most important qualifications is experience in rough seas. We have to know you can handle it if the seas get rough and stay rough for the whole 18 days. Long periods in rough weather can be difficult on you physically and emotionally.
We do four hour watches, so you will be on watch for four hours, have eight hours off, and then back on watch. If you are interested, contact us and we will send you more information about what you can expect and your crew member responsibilities. We will also send you an application to fill out and return.
Kosmos in Sea Magazine July 2008 and Site Updates
On page 21 of the July 2008 Sea Magazine you will find a Nordhavn advertisement with a picture of a Nordhavn 43. It is Kosmos! The ad is about us. It even links to the blog, so hello to any new readers out there. They interviewed us for the ad when we were in Thailand. That picture of Kosmos was taken at Ko Muk. The ad mentions we are “working our way from Australia through Southeast Asia”. Well, print media can be a bit behind the times. That was many thousands of miles ago! See the new map on top of the Travel Summary page for an overview of our route so far. Also, we added a few more stories to the Highlights page, and some pictures.
