It was another windy day, with sustained 15-knots lasting all day. After school and morning chores, we went to shore. We stopped by the grocery store and stocked up on eggs and a few other things. We saw that Deshamon’s was open. When we went in, they said they only had a buffet today, there was no ordering individual meals until dinner time. Due to her allergy, she generally doesn’t eat at buffets, so we went to the yacht club for lunch.
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, it was windy again with 15 – 20 knots sustained that was forecast to last all day. In good news, the wind had shifted to be from a more comfortable direction and there wasn’t much motion onboard.
Thanks to the big winds, there were 6-foot waves in the ocean. Eric was anxious to see the blowhole in action at high tide with the big waves. Neither Christi nor Keith were particularly interested in going with him, but he talked them into it. At 0745, we set out on the trek to the blowhole.

The anchorage was a bit on the uncomfortable side this morning. The motion may be better described as jerky mores than rolly. Eric watched the supply ship come in and dock. He couldn’t believe how shallow the ship must have been in order to get into that dock. A man on the dock grabbed one of the lines to tie up the boat, but tripped and fell into the water! With the man in the water, the ship abandoned docking until the guy swam to the ladder and was confirmed to be safely out of the water.

This morning it was windy, then both windy and rainy, then the wind died and there was light rain for a few hours. Once the wind died, it was hot and humid. Eric cleaned the bottom.
The wind was forecast to shift direction, so he made sure that the anchor was well set, which was easy to do in such amazingly clear water.

After morning chores, we went to shore to get lunch. The public dinghy dock. There were three ladders. It looked like it had been really well built, but it was starting to show wear. One of the ladders wasn’t secured properly, another was missing a part of the hand rail, making it a little challenging to get onto the dock. The third ladder was in good shape, though!
